BS Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota State University 1973. BS Electrical Engineering from University of Nevada, 1993, with honors. Registered Professional Engineer in Nevada and South Dakota.

Previous experience includes:
Associate Sales Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Corporation,
in Jefferson City, MO and Los Angeles CA, 3.5 years. Responsible for sales to SE USA region at the Distribution Transformer Division, Jefferson City MO.

Sales Engineer and District Manager, Energy Management Division of Sangamo-Weston Subsidiary of Schlumberger, Inc., Los Angeles, CA. Responsible for regional sales and service of electrical equipment to electric utility companies in California and Hawaii, 7 years. This included electrical metering equipment, data acquisition equipment for billing, instrumentation, and power capacitors and capacitor controls.

Supervisor Electric System Planning, Project Supervisor Conservation and Load Management, and Senior Electrical Engineer, Substation Design, Sierra Pacific Power Company, Reno, NV, 11 years. Responsible for design and implementation of a large data acquisition project. Coordinated the design and implementation of all company conservation and load management programs. Responsible for planning, designing, scheduling, and coordinating large and most complicated high voltage transmission and power generation plant substations; prepared contracts and specifications, and evaluated proposals for equipment including high voltage power transformers, circuit breakers, circuit switchers, voltage regulators, switches, control buildings and related equipment and construction services.

  • Designed and implemented one of the largest electric utility load management data acquisition projects in the USA, taught a class at University of Michigan Extension, and wrote a copyrighted book on methods and designs
  • First Place in Senior Engineering Design Project at UNR, for Nevada and California region

Jack has been married to Judith Ann Finger since 1978. They have two daughters residing in Minnesota and Florida. Jack’s primary goal is to continue to build Sioux Corporation to the point where the company is widely recognized by professionals in industry throughout the world for designing and manufacturing exceptional application-specific pressure washers, steam cleaners, steam generators, instantaneous water heaters, and related equipment.
